This is the first supplemental side story, as the fellowship rest in the 'safety' of Lothlorien.

Chapter 13

Gandalf has fallen into the deep, dark places of Moria. The remaining fellowship drag their weary bodies towards the forest realm of Lothlorien with goblins and wargs on their trail.

Chapter 12

Travelling through the deep, dark of Moria, the fellowship have fought their way out of Balin's Tomb. Followed by a mad dash to escape from the fabled city of Dwarrowdelf. The end of the darkness is in sight, with the bridge before them. But, there are drums in the deep.

Chapter 11

Travelling through the deep, dark of Moria, the fellowship have fought their way out of Balin's Tomb. Now, there is a mad dash to escape from the fabled city of Dwarrowdelf.

Chapter 10

Travelling through the deep, dark of Moria, the fellowship come across a room which contains Balin's Tomb. As they linger to read the Book of Mazarbul, they hear drums in the deep.

Chapter 9

The felloship attempt to cross the Pass of Caradhras in the Misty Mountains, but are beaten back by snow and a fell voice on the air. Surviving an attack by Wargs in the night, they hasten towards the doors of Moria to cross the mountains. As they attempt to gain access, there is movement in the water.

Chapter 8

The fellowship attempt to cross the Pass of Caradhras in the Misty Mountains, but are beaten back by snow and a fell voice on the air. Resolving to take the dark route through Moria, they make camp for the night. Suddenly there are howls from all around them.

Chapter 7

Chapter Seven sees the hobbits and Strider in a desperate flight to the Ford of the Bruinen. Frodo is fading fast from the darts of the enemy, sustained at Weathertop. With the Lady Arwen riding to their rescue, will she be able to get him to safety in time?

Chapter 6

Chapter Six occurs as the hobbits and Strider have reached the ancient watchtower of Weathertop. Frodo is desperate after discovering the absence of Gandalf and a close call with the dark riders in Bree.

Chapter 5

Chapter Five occurs after the Hobbits have entered the town of Bree. Frodo has left the Shire with his companions. After fear and flight they were desperate to get to Bree where they hoped to meet Gandalf. Unfortunately, he is not here. Perhaps there is another hero who can help them in their journey?
